In the ninth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Multan Sultans emerged victorious over Karachi Kings with a commanding 55-run lead

In the third match of the ninth edition of the Pakistan Super League, Multan Sultans secured a convincing victory over Karachi Kings, triumphing by a significant margin of 55 runs.

Played in Multan, Karachi Kings’ captain Shan Masood won the toss and elected to field first. Multan Sultans commenced their innings and managed to post a total of 185 runs for the loss of 2 wickets within the allocated 20 overs. Reza Hendricks remained unbeaten with a solid contribution of 79 runs, supported by David Malan’s innings of 52 runs off 41 balls. Mohammad Rizwan contributed 11 runs before being dismissed, while Khushdil Shah concluded the innings not out with 28 runs. Mir Hamza and Daniel claimed one wicket each for Karachi Kings.

In reply, Karachi Kings’ batting lineup struggled to mount a substantial challenge against the target of 186 runs. Apart from the experienced batsman Shoaib Malik, who scored 53 runs, none of the other batsmen could make significant contributions. Karachi Kings could only muster 130 runs for the loss of 8 wickets within the allotted overs. Shan Masood scored 30 runs, while Kieron Pollard added 28 runs to the total. James Vince scored 5 runs, and Mohammad Nawaz contributed 7 runs.

Muhammad Ali was the standout bowler for Multan Sultans, dismissing 3 players, while David Wali and Abbas Afridi claimed 2 wickets each.
