Iffat Omar wants her daughter to live free and never feel bound to care for her in old age

Actress and TV host Iffat Omar has made it clear: she raised her daughter to be independent — and she doesn’t expect her to become her crutch when she grows old.

Chatting openly during a morning show on Sama TV, Iffat talked about how she’s always given her daughter the freedom to run her own life. She said she never interferes, and her daughter knows she’s welcome to ask for advice any time, but the final choice is always hers.

Iffat described how much she adores her daughter and how she drops everything just to listen when she calls. She proudly shared that her daughter picked her own life partner too, without any push from her parents.

For Iffat, being a parent means giving love and support — not expecting your child to carry your burdens later. She believes her daughter has no duty to look after her in old age; that’s not why she raised her.

She also mentioned her daughter has been living in the US for six years and will be tying the knot this March.
