Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir has called on Pakistan’s youth to focus on their responsibilities and avoid engaging in baseless criticism, according to a report by state-run Radio Pakistan on Sunday.
Speaking at the CMH Institute of Medical Sciences in Bahawalpur, General Munir stressed the importance of academic excellence and the need for young people to equip themselves with the skills necessary for national development. He highlighted the vital role of the youth in shaping Pakistan’s future and reaffirmed the army’s commitment to supporting initiatives that empower young talent.
The COAS warned against the spread of false narratives aimed at undermining the state’s efforts in the fight against terrorism. He encouraged the youth to remain focused on constructive efforts and contribute positively to the nation’s progress.
During his visit, General Munir inaugurated the Innovista Cholistan project and the Integrated Combat Simulator Arena. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), these initiatives mark significant advancements in medical education, information technology, and combat readiness.
Upon his arrival in Bahawalpur, the COAS was welcomed by the Bahawalpur Corps commander. He later addressed army officers and troops, commending their dedication, high morale, and combat readiness.
General Munir emphasized the importance of rigorous training as a cornerstone of a soldier’s professional development. He stated that maintaining high training standards is essential for the Pakistan Army to effectively tackle modern warfare challenges.
