Getting your property registry in Punjab just got much easier. The provincial government has launched a new online system under the Punjab Urban Land Systems Enhancement (PULSE) project, giving citizens direct access to their property records without visiting government offices.
The PULSE project aims to build a Unified Land Information System, offering GIS-based parcel mapping that links ownership data with official maps. This not only improves accuracy but also helps prevent disputes over land titles.
As part of this major digitization drive, over 151 million pages of old property deeds have been scanned and archived. The system also integrates with housing authorities and covers more than 836 housing societies, representing over 874,000 mapped land parcels.
Anyone can access their registry online by logging into the PULSE portal, selecting “RoD Archives/Records,” and entering details like CNIC, tehsil, city, buyer’s name, and registry number. With just a few clicks, users can view and download their official property documents.
Officials highlighted that this transformation will cut red tape, reduce corruption, and make land transactions far more transparent. It is also seen as a step towards encouraging investment and sustainable urban growth.
Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has also inaugurated the Punjab Enforcement and Regulatory Authority (PERA). Starting next week in Lahore Division and expanding province-wide by December, PERA will address illegal land encroachments, hoarding, profiteering, and artificial price hikes, strengthening governance across Punjab.
