CDA speeds up development in Islamabad sectors, vows quality infrastructure

In a push to transform Islamabad into a model city, CDA Chairman and Islamabad Chief Commissioner Muhammad Ali Randhawa has instructed authorities to expedite development work in multiple sectors, ensuring no compromise on quality or transparency.

During a high-level meeting on Monday, Randhawa reviewed the status of ongoing projects in sectors C-14, C-15, C-16, E-12, and I-12. Senior CDA officials including members from the administration, planning, and engineering divisions participated.

Randhawa emphasized that along with faster construction, strict standards must be maintained. He directed the establishment of camp offices at development sites so public issues can be addressed directly and transparently.

He also unveiled plans to install advanced street lighting, enhance road infrastructure, and widen access points to newly developing sectors. All illegal encroachments are to be removed immediately, and all delays in ongoing work resolved.

Highlighting CDA’s financial readiness, Randhawa praised the recent record-setting commercial plot auction, terming it a historic milestone. He instructed the Finance Wing to ensure funds are promptly allocated to keep development on schedule.

“CDA is using all available resources to meet Islamabad’s urban and housing needs while upholding transparency and quality,” Randhawa stated.
