Babar Azam resigns from his position as captain of the Pakistan cricket team

Babar Azam, the captain of the Pakistan cricket team, has declared his decision to relinquish the captaincy role in all formats.

In a statement shared on X (previously Twitter) on Wednesday evening, Babar expressed, “It’s a challenging decision, but I believe it’s the appropriate time for this step.”

He further stated that he intends to persist in representing Pakistan as a player across all three formats.
