The National Highway Authority (NHA) has issued a notification revising toll tax rates for the Lahore–Islamabad (M2) Motorway. The updated rates will apply from August 26, 2025, until August 25, 2026.
Under the new schedule, Cars, Jeeps, and Taxis (Class 1) will pay Rs. 1,330, while Wagons (Class 2) will be charged Rs. 2,240. Buses have seen the steepest increase, with new charges set at Rs. 3,130.
The hike reflects the annual 10% increase agreed under the Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) concession signed on April 23, 2014, with Motorway Operations and Rehabilitation Engineering (Private) Limited — a Frontier Works Organization (FWO) subsidiary.
As per the agreement, the toll rates undergo annual adjustment starting from the second operational year of the project.
