The owner of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) team Fortune Barisal has released a statement in defense of Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik, refuting allegations of his involvement in match-fixing. Fans raised concerns after Shoaib Malik bowled three consecutive no-balls in a BPL match.

Barishal Meezanur Rahman, the owner of Fortune Barisal, stated, “The allegations of match-fixing against Shoaib Malik are unfounded. Shoaib Malik is a skilled cricketer, and he has delivered outstanding performances for our team.” Rahman emphasized that Malik is a seasoned cricketer who deserves respect.
