The interim Prime Minister discusses climate challenges with John Kerry

Interim Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar engaged in discussions with global leaders in Switzerland during the 54th annual meeting of the World Economic Forum.

The conversations covered significant topics such as the impact of climate change, bilateral trade, and regional affairs. While in Davos, Switzerland, Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar met with John Kerry, the US President’s Special Envoy for Meteorology. The discussions explored the local and global implications of climate change, with a specific focus on the challenges faced by developing nations.

Additionally, a meeting took place between the caretaker Prime Minister and Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe. The discussions centered on enhancing trade and addressing regional issues affecting both Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar is set to participate in the informal session of the World Economic Forum, concentrating on preventing global conflicts. Planned meetings include discussions with the Prime Minister, the Iranian Foreign Minister, and the President of the Cargill Company.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister will attend a dinner hosted by the founder of the World Economic Forum, honoring world leaders, international organizations, and council heads.
