Could Angelina Jolie be departing from Hollywood?

Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie has disclosed some surprising revelations about her future plans, causing a stir within the acting industry.

In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, the Lara Croft star discussed her forthcoming intentions. She expressed, “I wouldn’t pursue an acting career today,” highlighting the changing expectations around public exposure and sharing personal details. Having grown up in Hollywood, she remained unimpressed and skeptical about its significance and prominence.

Regarding her departure from Los Angeles, Jolie mentioned, “It’s part of the aftermath following my divorce. I’ve felt constrained in my ability to live and travel freely. I intend to relocate when possible. I was raised in a rather superficial environment. Among all places, Hollywood doesn’t foster well-being. Therefore, I am seeking authenticity.”

Jolie clarified that she currently has no romantic interest, emphasizing that her “closest friends are refugees” and acknowledging her children as her companions. She expressed, “They are the most significant individuals in my life and my companions. We are a diverse group of seven, which is our strength.”

The Wanted actress shares six children with her former husband, actor Brad Pitt — Maddox, 22, Pax, 20, Zahara, 18, Shiloh, 17, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 15.

The interview also revisited the divorce from Brad Pitt, referencing a reportedly tense altercation during a flight in 2016, with Jolie alleging Pitt’s abusive behavior towards her and their children. This incident led to their separation, with Jolie retaining custody of their children.

In a recent exclusive interview with WSJ. Magazine, Jolie hinted at considering retirement from Hollywood, citing health implications stemming from her divorce from Pitt. She emphasized the significance of healing for herself and her family, mentioning her health issues during the divorce and her desire to spend more time at her home in Cambodia.
